Crystal Oven Cleaning
The kitchen is, without a doubt, one of the most used rooms in your home. Whether you cook every night or batch cook on the weekends, it’s only normal for your kitchen to become messy. Your kitchen needs attention every day, on the basis how much foot traffic passes through and the number of meals that are prepared in this one room. Ignoring the washing up or forgetting to clean the surfaces can lead to a much bigger job the following day or at the weekend, but who wants a big cleaning job during the weekends? (Certainly not us!) Here are our favourite ways you can keep your kitchen clean and safe for the whole family.
Cooking can often turn into organised chaos - every pan from the cupboard is now on the kitchen side, the sink is full of pots and all of a sudden there are food splatters on the wall and floor. It's a busy time, but you can always find time to clean as you cook, so the cleaning job doesn't become overbearing and to keep the kitchen clean as you go.
It may seem like an obvious tip for keeping your kitchen clean, but spillages can be missed when you are rushing around to get the meal on the table or rushing out of the door in a hurry. It's easy enough for spillages to get missed, especially if they're not in eyesight in places like the microwave and on the hob. But the truth is, if you clean a spillage up as soon as it happens, it will be much easier to clean then a day later when it has become dried and more stubborn to get rid of!
As we're on the subject of spillages in hidden places/places not in immediate eye-line, let's discuss the microwave. The easiest and best way to avoid food splatters in your microwave is to cover your food when it's cooking/ heating up. You can either use a microwave lid or a piece of kitchen roll to avoid food splattering in the microwave. This simple technique will make cleaning the microwave much easier and help you keep the kitchen as clean as possible. Make sure every pot, pan, spoon, knife and spatula has a place in your kitchen. Keep all of your utensils and cooking equipment in their designated places until you choose to you them. Organising your kitchen will make it look instantly cleaner and keep the kitchen clean. Plus, it's nice to know where everything is in the kitchen.
To keep your kitchen clean, it is important to regularly clean and change your cleaning cloths. Dirty, damp kitchen cloths are the perfect habitat for bacteria to breed, and bacteria=illness. Make sure you thoroughly wash cloths, sponges and brushes after every use and leave them to dry before using again. Also, we recommend you use different coloured cloths for different areas of your kitchen. For example, blue for the sink and yellow for the sides, and this will help stop the spread of bacteria.
Sweeping the kitchen floor is great when you need a quick clean, but more often than not you will actually spread the dirt around the kitchen. That's where hoovering comes in to save the day. Hoovering the kitchen floor will ensure you get into all the nooks and crannies of your kitchen - we recommend you hoover every couple of days to keep on top of the kitchen clean.
