Crystal Oven Cleaning
It’s pretty easy for your kitchen sink to become incredibly dirty. After all, it's alongside the oven and fridge as one of the most used appliances in the room. Plus, you usually clean your hands, dishes, cutlery and all other kitchen apparatus there, so it is no surprise that they get unclean pretty quickly. As you're reading this now, it's likely you know stainless steel is a good material to use, but maintaining that new shine that radiates from a stainless steel sink is not that easy. Until now...
If you want your kitchen sink to be sparkling bright almost 24/7, then here are our top tips and tricks that will achieve the desired effect. We've tried and tested these ourselves and know they work every single time.
We've spoken about using baking soda in kitchen cleaning before. It turns out it's probably the most common method of cleaning a stainless steel sink and seeing it shine again. Baking soda is fantastic because it removes food stains, grease and water deposits quicker than anything else. All you have to do is simply mix baking soda and water into a paste and spread it over the sink. Then add in a small amount of vinegar which will cause the paste to fizz. After it fizzes up, clean the paste away. The stainless steel sink will look a lot cleaner once you have done this.
Water spots are annoying marks on your stainless steel sink, but they are very easy to get rid of. Dip a clean sponge in some white vinegar and simply rub all around the basin. One of the pros to using vinegar to remove water marks is that it really doesn't take a lot of effort to clean water spots from a sink.
Yes, you read that right! Using flour to help bring a shine to your stainless steel sink. Not many people know about this method, but it can be very effective! All you have to do is put a few tablespoons worth of all-purpose flour into the sink and use a clean, soft cloth to rub it around. Admittedly, this does require a bit of elbow grease but it is so worth it for the shine... plus we say it goes towards your workout of the day. When you've finished rubbing the flour around the sink, simply rinse it all away. You should find that your stainless steel sink has got some of its shine back again and will look cleaner as well.
Did you know that you can use baby oil to get that new shine back into your stainless steel sink? Yeah, not a lot of people know that either, but we've tried it ourselves and it worked amazingly. We just added a few drops of baby oil onto a paper cloth and wiped down our own stainless steel sink. It added a layer of shine to the sink that we hadn't seen in a while. So simple, yet so effective. We will be using this trick more often.
